For the 2014 tax year, there is nothing you need to provide your employees to prove they had medical coverage. When individuals file their 2014 tax return, they will simply check a box indicating whether they had coverage or not in 2014 (it’s the honor system for 2014). Beginning in 2016, for the 2015 tax filing, any employer with 50 or more full-time employees will be required to provide their employees with proof.
