IAFF Health & Wellness Trust (formerly the Northwest Fire Fighters Benefits Trust)

The Washington State Council of Fire Fighters (WSCFF) launched the Northwest Fire Fighters Benefits Trust (NWFFT) in 2013, bringing fire fighters and their families comprehensive, affordable, and sustainable health benefits.  Designed and governed by fire fighters, for fighters, this Union-Sponsored Trust solution provides bargained benefits for Active-Duty Members and retirees in the IAFF 7^th District and surrounding areas.  In 2022, the trust began a partnership with the IAFF to expand access to these plans to public sector Locals across the country. 

Now known as the IAFF Health and Wellness Trust, these health plans are built to be responsive to the needs of members.  The Trust has a large menu of medical, prescription drug, dental and vision plans, with some custom options available by State.  All plans include virtual office visits, domestic medical tourism, hearing benefits and more!  Participating members have access to non-Medicare retiree health care options. The Trust also offers Medicare Advantage options as well as traditional Medicare Supplement plans to all Medicare eligible IAFF retirees and their spouses.
